BioI am one of those people, your friends warned you about. I see layers of meaning behind everything. I see semiotics in operation everywhere I look. Nothing in this world is free of ideology; in a similar note, nothing therefore, exists beyond theory. Even nothingness, is a theory.
I have nothing but the highest respect for intelligence. Increasingly, my threshold for dull unintelligent people and the topics they entertain themselves in, have lowered dramatically. No offense, but, this world has too much too offer us - and if one's dumb, one has the resources to DO something about it. Doing nothing is a volitional - no one is to blame if you're dull.
Literature cannot do anything for the world, but to me, it has all the answers to the world I see. I don't need to answer to the billions of people who find Literature senseless - it makes complete sense to me.
